Mr. Subway

A documentary short film by Arturo Mendicuti

Overview

From six in the afternoon to one in the morning Rodrigo works at the Mexico City subway. He always carries a 9mm semi-automatic gun that he hides in his pants’ pocket. His job is to get the subway to transport the 6 million people who use it everyday, which implies facing an incompetent, corrupt and bureaucratic system, as well as dealing with murderers, kidnappers and suicides.

This is why Rodrigo will create a series of short films to try to improve the conditions of the subway. However, the subway management banned its production, so he will have to produce them secretly, having to direct, photograph and act by himself. Rodrigo will use a mask to cover his identity, he prefers to be called Mr. Subway.

This project is currently in production stage.
